Importance of the Panel
These blood tests may help doctors assess certain cancer-related conditions and monitor suspected or previously diagnosed cancers. The markers included are commonly associated with conditions involving the breast, ovary, liver, pancreas/GI tract and other organs.

Tumor markers such as AFP, CA 19-9, CEA, CA 125 and CA 15-3 cannot confirm or rule out cancer by themselves. Results should be interpreted together with symptoms, clinical examination, imaging and other investigations advised by the doctor.
