It can help identify IgE sensitization to multiple suspected allergens when a person experiences symptoms such as itching, skin rashes, sneezing, nasal symptoms, wheezing, swelling, vomiting, abdominal discomfort or other suspected allergic reactions. Important: A positive specific-IgE result indicates sensitization, and does not by itself prove that an actual clinical allergy will occur.
